Miravalle Canopy Tour in Mombacho 

Tour Starts in Granada

Mombacho Volcano Natural Reserve is a cloud forest located just 18 kilometers from the colonial city of Granada. This dormant volcano also a natural reserve has about 700 plant species, 173 bird species, 36 reptiles species, 10 amphibian species and 47 mammals species. Plus several thousands of insect species and some endemic species: the salamander Bolitoglossa mombachoensis and the orchid Maxillaria mombachoensis.

Itinerary:

The driver will pick you up at your hotel (or desired place) and he will transfer you to the Mombacho Volcano entrance where the Miravalle Canopy Tour facilities are located.

The Canopy facilities consist of two kilometers, 11 zip lines and 17 platforms. Before the start of the activity you can enjoy of a local hot coffee cup. Your personal canopy trained guide will give you the recommendations necessary to enjoy this activity safely, the equipment to be used includes helmet, gloves and harnesses and other equipment. After the basic training you will be hanging on a double zip line and the next second you will be flying from a tree to the other.

After the activity you are free to spend some time in the Hacienda property to walk or just relax.

For safety reasons we do not accept children below ten years old nor pregnant women.

 

   

Recommendations:

Wear comfortable clothes: long pants, shorts are fine, sport shoes or hiking boots are recommended.
Keep your camera inside the case and do not carry sharp objects.
Use a strap for your glasses.
Please put in a pony tail your long hair.

Physical requirements:

Ability to walk 15 minutes uphill and up steps.

Strength enough to climb a 15-foot ladder straight up.

Do not drink alcoholic beverage 8 hours prior to the tour.
